It's double-feature week, since I didn't get around to posting the 23-week bump pics for you.
WEEK 23:
I'm looking more and more...round, aren't I?
I'm not going to lie: I love what pregnancy has done to my body so far. I am surprised to say this, but I couldn't be prouder of my belly right now.
Just ask Mark. I lift my shirt up and say "BABY BELLY!!" at least once a day to him. Wonder if that's getting old? I think it helps that I'm only up ten pounds so far. Talk to me when I'm up 25...I might be a little more grumbly about it!
WEEK 24:
Yep...white definitely adds pounds. Still, this is one of my favorite maternity shirts. It's soooo comfy!
Also comfy are my new gray All-Star Converse sneaks. I once had a pair of turquoise high-top ones (this was when I was sporting a curly mullet, folks), so I've always had a soft spot for these shoes. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm sort of o-v-e-r wearing high heals. Flats forever!!
Oh, these girls. They definitely like being part of whatever it is Mark and I are doing at any given time. It will be interesting to see how they handle having a new baby around.
Check this out! It's my new maternity pillow - a Snoogle (omg, best name ever!). I've been having a tough time sleeping, so I figured it was worth a shot. The pillow was delivered yesterday; I arrived home from work to see it laying on our bed and jumped! Mark had apparently come home at lunch and opened it... Sure, it's not exactly scary, but do you see the SIZE OF THIS THING?! Tell me you wouldn't jump, too, if you weren't expecting to see it! Despite the fact that it pretty much takes up half the bed, though, I definitely like it so far.
Some of you mentioned being confused by my number system for these belly pictures. Basically, I had a package of sticky letters/numbers sitting around (leftover from an overzealous wedding project idea that I never ended up doing) and figured I'd put them to use. It was either this or yell at my computer every time I tried to electronically add numbers in Photoshop...no thanks! ;o)
Ahh! You're so cute! And you look tan, too! No fair! Also, you look cute in purple. And a Snoogle?! That's amazingly awesome...let me know how you like it!
ReplyDeleteDear Chickpea,
ReplyDeleteLook at how gorgeous your Mommy looks while you were cooking! She's all smiles, right? But I bet those smiles are nothing compared to the HUGE smiles you see now when she's looking at your eyes and your toes and your fingers and your legs and your arms and your tummy and your... well, you get the picture.
Thank you for making your Mommy smile so much. It's really nice for everyone to see.
You are so loved, Chickpea.
Love,
Dawnie
Beautimus! You look fantastic :)
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute and I love your sneakers! I need to get a pair. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are sportin' the pregnancy glow! Your hair looks beautiful! And, that pillow IS huge! Looks comfy too! Love ya!!!
ReplyDeleteThat pillow looks awesome! I have one of the regular straight body pillows and I'm always contorting it around my body to go between my boobs and under my belly and between my knees, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures, too - very cute :)
I think I have that same purple shirt! Is it a Motherhood Maternity one? If so, that is one of my favorite shirts - and they're on clearance at Babies R Us right now!
You look awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, my friend is 7 months along, and she got the same "long way to go" comments... and had the same thing happen at 6 months. Must just be a "society thinks" thing in terms of pregnancies.
you now need a SNUGGIE to match your SNOOGLE!!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, looking beamingly adorable!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful, and ever-so-happy!!!
ReplyDeleteThe snoogle looks wonderful, and I pray it helps to decrease your somewhat sleepness nights honey.
Hoping to see you soon to help paint Chickpeas nursery and to do some gardening.
I love you all.
Mom
I love your shirt! It's super adorable. As are those puppies of yours! I can't wait to see how much they are enthralled by little Chickpea. It will be all kinds of adorable, no doubt!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic, Amy! I am just so happy you get to experience this wonderful miracle! And, it's wonderful, that despite the symptoms and "the long way to go" (actually, NOT long!)that you are embracing the pregnancy, and having fun through it.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of NOT long... time just flies. You may have 3 months to go, but my little one is now 3 months old- I can hardly believe it. So, let me assure you that the next SIX months will fly by in the blink of an eye. Keep enjoying--- and writing! Having documentation of this time flying by is truly precious!!!
